The VLSI Design and Test Laboratory consists of a suite of high-performance and low-power workstations, integrated circuit testers, and commercial computer-aided design software for developing design automation software for fault diagnosis, testing, simulation, power estimation, and synthesis. The centre provides access to several software and hardware used for testing. We also use different controllers and modules like advanced arduino, nodemcu, pic controller, and SIM 800A IoT to assist scholars while using the equipment.
The microwave laboratory is equipped with wide Band of bench setups which provide the necessary support for RF and Microwave engineering. This lab also equipped with MIC/Patch antenna pattern measurement setup which provides the necessary exposure for analyzing the radiation pattern of an antenna.
The Microwave Simulation Softwares available include IE3D, CST Microwave Studio, Ansoft HFSS and EMPIRE.
Computational fluid dynamics (CFD), a branch of fluid mechanics, is a tool used for designing turbo-machinery. Computational fluid dynamics evaluates the physical properties & performance of designs and reduces the prototyping cost & experimental time. Today, CFD finds its applications in various fields including aerodynamics, power plants, chemical process engineering, and many more.
